The main roads are paved if i Remember correctly. There is a lot of road between the camp grounds and main gate. Plenty for a youngster to ride on. Othwise take off the training wheels and let him fly......... the bruises will heal [:)O]

Paved? 2 years ago it was all gravel. but its paved near the museum and parking area. I may be old and forgetful!

You coming 94-D2? If I am not wrong, I met you 2 years ago at the last rally at Red Canyon?

Any plans for potluck or we are on our own with cooking? I am thinking about bringing a cow.

I don't think all of it gravel. Perhaps to the camp sites is but I think some of it is paved. Not toatally sure. There was a parking area near the kiosk where it was all paved. And the road in to the gate was paved.

Yes halford you did meet me two years ago. I dont think am going to make it. I want to but I can't get Sunday off. I hate having to bail out on Saturday when everyone is moving out for their fun for the day and I'm packing up to go. It sucks so I don't go to the the rallies that are over the weekend when I can't get them off.
In two years I'll be retired. Then I can do all the rallies I want. You guys have a great time........

The road in and the ranger station area area are paved, the 'loop' was gravel and decently packed for kids bikes.

I would bring water just in case, there are spigots in the CG, but they may or may not be functional.

Speaking about little buddy, which Mr Heater do you have? Buddy, Little Buddy, or Big Buddy?

I'm looking for something to supplement the furnace for our next trip. Thinking this rally will help me play with the setup. I'm just not sure if a Little Buddy would be enough...

I have the Buddy heater, at times it is too much even on low in my small pup...

I'm tempted to get a little buddy, but I don't think they are for use indoors like the bigger units.

I would suggest the Big buddy, as it has a lower low and a higher high. It uses 2 smaller catalysts vs 1 bigger on the Buddy. The Big buddy also uses 2 bottles and I believe has a fan (4 D batteries) which would be very beneficial in a large pup like you have. I recently put a fan behind my Buddy heater to blow the heat to the bunks and that helped quite a bit vs the heat just going to the roof...

Haybail, I wish we could make this one. We were out a couple years ago and YES it is a fantastic campground. There are still a lot of areas I couldn't get to hike to or around. Very beautiful park. Maybe next year I'll pack the D/W back out there. To all you guys have a good [8D] one on me. [2C]

Ok, while visiting with Paul and Pam today they talked us into joining the Red Rock Rally! We plan to come in on Wednesday the 15th sometime in the afternoon. I'll figure out a potluck dish and let everyone know.

Awesome, there are a group of sites almost straight back across the canyon wall from the entrance that worked well last rally!!

That makes 5, for an official Rally (Not really annual rally, but kind of)
