Anyone know the upcoming weather for the President's Day Weekend. I checked one weather station, they are calling for shower on 19th and 20th. The other weather station says it'll just rain on 17th but cloudy/partly cloudy the rest of the weekend. I might plan on bringing tarp and poles to cover whole popup...

As long as it doesn't rain every day, I'll be there!!

The Carrizo Plains Rally last month called for rain, but it did not...

This trip will be my first camping trip solo without the wife. I'm more worried about what trouble I will be getting into with them two [:O]

If these forecasts hold true, then it'll still be a good weekend... hopefully my firewood will dry out by then. It's soaked!!!

I'm certain you 3 will do great and remember it as guys trip!!!

I'll have a lot of firewood also, I think I have 3 nights worth in the pup already and can bring 2-3 nights worth in the car!!

I'm assuming, but a reminder can you bring my lost Ford hoodie?

Will there be the customary potluck on Saturday? Or will everyone be on their own?
Dan and I will be there Wednesday afternoon.

The Weather Channel is calling for rain from Fri to Sunday.. clear on Monday

ACCUWeather is calling for rain only on Friday...

    Which do I believe?

Which do I like to believe?

Bummer, my other camping trip was cancelled due to weather and a snow prediction. Checking the weather for Red Rock Canyon, looks like 100% chance of rain on Friday, 90% on Sat, and more on Sunday. Argh, what to do, what to do. If the weather prediction changes, I may join you.

Rain or shine, I will be there. I really really need to camp!!!

At home... No tanks just jugs for drinking. There are water spigots in the CG...

    So here's my dilemma...

    - A family member's health took a turn for the worst, got wife traveling out of country for several days. Kids not taking it well.
    - Just got a HUGE upswing of incoming work. Couple multi million $ contracts with expedited orders. Could use the weekend to relieve some hours for next week.
    - The incoming weather that would confine a loud 6YO and a hyper 8YO in tight quarters for a prolonged period of time. I can hear them already "I'm bored!!!!!"

I am starting to have second thoughts about this trip but I really want to go. I will see how work goes these next couple of days. Maybe pulling in Saturday night is a better option for me, I don't know [V]

Paul and Pam said there are signs in the campground the water is unsafe to drink or use for cooking. We'll look for a place on the road (or maybe here at the KOA in Needles) to fill our fresh water tank.

I'm following the weather closely. Like Ryan, I really want to camp this weekend, but not if it means closing the camper up wet, and not getting a lot of hiking in. I've got projects at home and maybe I can get the time to camp next wknd. I'm hoping the weatherman changes his forecast though and I'll change my mind last minute. It's a 4 hour drive alone for me, so the rain is a bummer.

As for the water, I was there January 2016 and I don't recall not being able to use the water... hmmm I'll try to call tomorrow. There is a visitor center south of the CG a few miles that I thought had a dump/fill station, I'll ask that also.

Saturday may be a good alternative.

If it looks like heavy rain Thursday night I'll come in Friday morning, but also play it by ear!!
