My booking for site 106 is now questionable....circumstances have popped up that may prevent me from being able to make it up for the weekend....very disappointed....but...unavoidable... If anyone wants 106, please let me know..I will hold off on cancelling outright in the hopes that I can transfer to the site to someone in the group who was unable to book in the Trillium loop....

I would LOVE to bring my canoe and participate in a paddling day. Our Rockwood has a roof rack but I have yet to take our canoe anywhere using said rack. There's two reasons for that: 1 - We've only camped at Indiana State Parks and they charge an extra fee for watercraft. I think it's only $5 for but if we end up not using the canoe it's a waste of $5. And 2 - I'm sure the 15' aluminum canoe (100-150lbs?) needs to be removed from the roof before cranking up. I don't know where to put the canoe once it's removed nor do I know how I would transport it from a campsite to the water without the aid of Rockwood's roof rack and wheels. I can get creative... I just don't want to get thrown out of the park.

Does MI charge extra $ for watercraft? Any thoughts on where to store the canoe and how to transport it to the water? I could probably set up sawhorses and put the canoe upside down on them next to the camper with the two chained together for "safety." Again, I don't want to do anything that's going to get me tossed out.

No extra charge for watercraft. We just put our kayaks on the ground behind our camper and lock them to a tree when we're not around. Never had a problem. Not sure how to get your canoe to the water though. We do have a lot of people with trucks, maybe someone will jump on and might be able to help.

We leave our boats on the truck rack. I KNOW we can get you boat to the launch site. Do bring it, don't panic!

CCUnicorn (CJ) and my mom will be joining me. I just emptied the cooler from my b-day party a week ago. I noticed the two 2-liters of pop (A&W Root Beer and Sprite (or 7-up can't remember)) were unopened. Which gathering should I bring those to? It appears all my friends just drink beer and water. Also for the pot luck....CJ's DO corn casserole OR my DO pizza?

Bring them to the Friday night gathering, Sarah. Whatever is leftover, we'll hold over for the potluck. I am sure there are a lot of people who would enjoy the pop. I personally LOVE A&W Root Beer! As for the potluck.... oooo, tough choice. They are both so good! I think my vote is for the corn caserole.
