2017 Halloween Rally, November 3 to 5th at Blue Jay NF CG near Lake Elsinore CA [CP]

It is FCFS National Forrest CG, $20/night, pit toilets, various water spigots in the CG, many trees, nice hikes, beautiful views, wildlife includes deer in the park, picnic tables and fire pits.

I've been here twice and highly recommend it.

Any other suggestions for locations, or just stay with this and plan the rest?

Post up alternative locations, but remember this is a So Cal rally, 'No to far' will only be counted with a response and suggestion.

    There. I voted! [USA] [:D]

I figure we're in where ever it is in So Cal. Depending on the school calendar, it may just be a weekend trip for us tho.

Now onto learning how to navigate this new site [RTM]

For this rally I'd say that's a bit to far up there. However there is plenty of time to start a fall rally!!!

Soooo.... just throwing this out there...

I just checked the 2017 school calendar and the boys have Oct 16th off. Would you guys consider moving this rally up a few weeks to that weekend if anyone else has that Monday off. Not only is it "Bosses Day" but we'd also be camping on Friday 13th!!! muahahaha...ha...haaaaa

Patrick has school the Friday and Monday, and he isn't scheduled to be with me. But if enough people want, go for it!

I have been waning to attend a pup rally but we typically have already used up our "vacation time" by the time I see them on the forum for anything farther away than a few hours, but this sounds perfect! This location is practically in my own backyard, and how fun it will be to meet some of the members of this forum! Hope this location sticks with the group!

We may be in for this one - let me check with my better half regarding availability.

The location would certainly be pretty convenient.

I've been "offline" for a few years now. The wife and I really enjoyed the Red Rocks Winter rally a few years back and it looks like our work schedules may let us attend the Halloween rally. Lake Elsinore is also close to the Temecula wineries. Double bonus. We are a maybe at this point, but will confirm soon.

Don't think we've ever been to Lake Elsinore. How close is the campground to the highway? Can you hear the roar of traffic from the campground?

    I'm also guessing no hookups...
