Do you guys ever come farther south for a rally? I'm in Texas and I know it is extremely hot here in August, but I would consider (and prefer) going farther north. Sounds like it would be a fun gathering. Maybe one day!

    Mark and all,
A neighbor of ours had pop up tent trailers for years, then they went without anything for quite a while. They just bought a new hardside. I've invited them to come to our rally, assuming that would be okay. They are booked into Site 11. Audrey and Earl Dew.

There seem to be sites open at Iron Creek, Loop A, on our Rally Week-end. Let's get them booked up, people. We're expecting great weather that weekend. :)

So, is this open to Oregonians as well? Date firm? This would be my first, and I would be coming from Saint Helens, Oregon (beautiful view of the mountain from my second floor). Do I need to make a reservation? Costs?

    I have a 2000 Coleman/Fleetwood Timberline (I believe that qualifies - :p).

Alright, we're booked. Tobin and Bonita Davis, Site A1 (she wanted close to the bathroom). We'll be arriving Friday early evening.

If there is any interest, I usually cook for a large crowd when camping, and will have the materials to make a Peach and/or Cherry Cobbler (I have 2 dutch ovens). Think Saturday Night.

Saturday night is a Camp Crawl with every one meeting up and going camp site to camp site for dessert or drinks. Glade you are going to come.

By the way A-1 is a great site it was the first site we used when we found this campground. Still use it from time to time

I thought you said you were from the NW? No self respecting PNW native would ever trust the weather more than a few hours out. :p

Mark, I haven't heard about this. Please explain more. So... we're going to each campsite and each campsite has to be prepared with enough dessert and drinks for everyone, rather than the pot luck dessert we've always had in the past? Hope you can get me excited about this. I like the potluck, where we have a campfire, stay put and visit. We can't have campfire if we all crawl.

It was an idea brought up by Benji earlier in the thread we can vote on it if you want. You have a good point. There is also the problems of someone having to stay at their site to do prep and everyone having to carry their chair to each site. Ok everyone needs to chime in. What do you'll think.

You made some good points too. I vote for the pot luck like we've had in the past. Otherwise if someone has to stay back at each site to get things ready, they're going to miss the fun. Ladies... it will probably be us. LOL

I have a Harbor Freight portable carport that I can bring with me. It takes ~20 minutes to assemble. I haven't been to this campground before, but if we have a site that is open, we could use it for a gathering site for a few hours.

    Just a suggestion.

I vote for keeping the pot luck the way it was, i.e., at one campsite. I was thinking about this a few days ago and figured that everyone would have to carry chairs around or all just stand at each spot. Neither option is attractive to me.

Hellooooo. Anybody home? It's awfully quiet here and our rally is only weeks away. Is there a head count and a list of site #'s for the rally participants? I miss the way these rallys used to be set up.
