Ok seeing how I'm at the campground, I'll says that the Rally has kicked off for 2020..
Did they let you in before 2? If so, I might head out earlier than planned tomorrow, since no one is booked for my site tonight.
I was allowed in, they weren't sure if anyone was on my site... there was but they were gone by then. What site you on?
I think she is on 115? It's beside us....beside 113.
Cape Breton NS is sending you all good vibes from the east coast..
Have fun and stay safe.
Thank you Caper. We head into the rally on Friday afternoon. However, by Thursday evening, it seems as though the power at the park has already crapped out. This happened to the rally at the same park 2 years ago when we were all there. So hot, and everyone using their A/C (not just in the park, but surrounding community), that the power grid can't handle it. Kinda sad since the park is only 20 mins down the road from a huge power generating windmill farm setup. Probably 75-100 windmills there.
no worries, i know all about Ontario heat lol spent 26ish years there lol.
either way have as much fun as possible and make great memories and friends
Well the 2020 Covid rally is over..
To everyone who attended, thanks for coming, hope everyone enjoyed themselves, with the whole social distancing thing we skipped the usual potluck dinner but still had shared campfires on two sites as been the custom for the past few rally's the pineapple juice made its appearance, Strawhouse finally got to sample it..lol
Dispite a short power outage, some late racoon visitors , a couple really hot days that saw the dogs spending lots of time in their air conditioned trailers, everything went pretty smooth, even the non traditional cake CCPTBO brought as a replacement cake was great.
Again was great seeing everyone again. A new thread has been started for ideas on where to hold the 2021 Ontario Rally, so please read the criteria and post your ideas.
Lastly safe travels home and looking forward to seeing everyone again..
Thanks to everyone for another great rally. Had lots of fun in the scorching heat, had a great b-day cake from CCPTBO for Snow and me, had great donuts and cinnamon rolls from Stevie and Teena, and met a new great little doggo for the first time. Bailey and Rocky wanted to make friends, but decided that social distancing was the way to go in light of the situation.
Thanks to CCPTBO for letting a couple extras pitch a tent on their site.
Thanks to Strawhouse for letting a different couple park their car on her site.
Thanks to Snow for initiating the summer rally again.
Lots of lively conversation and campfires had by all.
Always a great time spending time with our camping family. Once a year just never seems like enough time!
To our "pitch-a-tent" campers...you're always welcome! Had your wine last night...was great, thank you.
The cinnamon buns and donuts were fantabulous....glad we were able to try them!
Finnalyn took to everyone and it was a great first camping experience for our pup. Thanks to all for welcoming her.
Until next year peeps!!
