I went with the 17th as well, since it falls on Crystal and my anniversary, but I'm good with either date. I won't miss the dang window on this one like I did the summer rally! Oh, side note, We're going to try to go to the darkside this year, so we may show up with something different. Haven't decided what, but probably a smaller Bunk House model to give the kids some extra room to move around when it (Invariably) rains us out. I'm also getting tired of cranking... It makes me Cranky... hehe

That's pretty exciting. I hope it all works out for you guys. I understand the cranky part, I don't miss that part at all.

I'm thinking loop 1, I highlighted the sites I was thinking about. It's been a while since I've been there, I'm pretty sure that was one of the loops we were in and it was nice. Anyone have any other ones there that would be a good one? 5C90E521-8B1D-4163-B369-4840CFBC3391.jpeg

My only issue is that that loop isn't pet friendly. We're hoping to have a new pup by then, and we'd want to bring it along.

Of course if we settle on that loop, we can just set up on loop 3, so that's not a deal breaker. The campground doesn't look that big, so it's easy enough to come by throughout the day and for the meet and greet/pot luck.

That maps from 2007, all sites at Ohio state parks are pet friendly. I wish they had an updated map, be little less confusing.

I should have mentioned that when I posted the map. To many of us have animals (the 4 legged kind) lol

I don’t have any pets unless I bring the cat, But doubt it. Any loop works for me , at this point, it looks like March 17th will be opening of reservation window if I counted correctly!

Pat, I called the park and they said all CS's are pet friendly. The only place in the park that you can not have pets is the beach.

I think you are to use to PA state parks with limmited pet camping and listing cs that pets are allowed. Ohio is completley diffrent in that they only list cs that pets are not allowed.

Give the park a call to double check?

Thanks, Art, I'll make sure to do that before I book. I'm definitely used to PAs draconian limitations on pets. I really don't get that, I mean your outside for Pete's sake or in your own camper. And it's not like it's going to stop anyone from walking their dog to a non pet loop (seen that a ton of times) so it's not even effective. Weak rant, I know lol

Alight, dates been set, September 17th is the date for the rally!! Reservation window opens March 17th. I'm not sure how quickly they will fill but with the PA side closed more people may be booking there this year.

Now Ohio has some campgrounds that have loops or sections that are no pets. Not to many campgrounds. But, you are not even allowed to walk you dog in those areas.

Rob, are you still thinking about that one section that was highlighted for the group to target camping?

If I'm doing my calculation correctly? The window will open on 3/17 for those making their first day on 9/17.

If I remember rightly that's a decent area, and if we all book there we should have nice area for the kids.

Since it’s later in the camping season. I may opt for full hookup site, good time to give the ol poop collector tank. A good flushing
