it was so nice to meet both of you, I hope we get to see you again soon.
I arrived home just before 7pm tonight.
I'm stopping over one night on the way to CT. I'll be arriving Wed as well.
yes we are currently on our big three week trip out west - we are in Salina Kansas at the moment. so far the trip has been wonderful. We will be in colorado tomorrow.
As to a rally, I was thinking about for next year.
Wanda, I am so glad you were able to make it to the rally, and have a good time. It was great meeting you and Bev. I enjoy meeting new people at rallies. I hope you can make it back next year.
Pat, glad you are almost home. let us know how you make out with your lift assist debacle.
Steph, you are killing me! you know I want to be in CT BAD. I am still trying by the way. As for next year, we don't have to do Memorial day weekend for Schodack. I am pretty flexible if you need to move the date. Tell Jake my rally is more fun than a bunch of 13 year old boys! I hope you can make it, but if not, then I can harass you like you are doing to me.
There's only one site left for that weekend....and it's dry camping....just an FYI....
But are you more fun than a bunch of 13 year old GIRLS??? I'm guessing he may pass on that party...at least we won't make him go if he doesn't want to.
Hey, Mike! I agree that you host great rallies. However, I'm not sure that that would be the best strategy to use when trying to convince a 13 year old boy!
I'd be lying if I said I didn't just spit out my coffee. Good one Pat!
See my thought was as Steph pointed out, I have 13 year old girls at my rally!! (and the more we discuss this the more uncomfortable I am getting)
I agree....time to move on...
I'm not sure why you are getting uncomfortable, you have the boy! Jeff even said he's glad he had a son. I'm the one with the daughters, and we all know how friendly Emily can be. Maybe I should have the "Workshop" talk with Jake.
Relax Mike, Jake wasn't part of Multiple Directions and his name isn't Harriet.
Wow, you are on Emily's list for sure now.
Since I was late for the potluck (I think you all were early) I might as well be the late one now too. Had a great weekend, weather was perfect imo, spent alot of time exploring the park and area with my son. Found the second lake to kayak on, which was totally undeveloped and beautiful, with a resident nesting Bald Eagle. Definitely a nice park that I'd like to visit in the fall. Hope to see some of you (if not more) the last weekend in September at the Vermont Rally.
We did stumble upon this guy just before we left. I did not know that Promised Land had Timber Rattlesnakes
Gee, Chris. Thanks for that tidbit of information!
For obvious reasons, I'm sure that I should know that they are there, but I'm not sure that I want to know. Obviously on pavement. Should I ask where you saw it?
Hey, Mike! Thinking of a different park for next year's rally?
Wow, Chris, where was that at?
Yes, we have Timber Rattlers, among other poisonous snakes. I will have to say that is the first one I have heard of in a long time though. We also have bears, especially in that area of PA, but I have never seen one while camping.
Pat, you will just have to suck it up, we aren't going anywhere. Although if my mom hears about this, she may be.
Well, thanks for that heartfelt support, buddy!
Whoa! Don't tell Peggy! (Although I would like to be there to see her reaction when you tell her to 'suck it up'! ) I hereby invoke a 'cone of silence' vis a vis the existence of said rattler!
Of course, we all need to keep in mind that we have Chris to blame for this!
Yeah, if you want to see mom at the rally again, I wouldn't mention this at all to her.
I'm glad Katie didn't find it. She would have gone all "Crocodile Hunter" and grabbed it by the tail. Crikey!
