Why have a camper if it's going to sit in the driveway. It's bad enough it goes into storage from end of October to April :(
Had another great weekend camping in Pymatuming State Park for the holiday.

IMG_20180531_065001.jpg Well, I guess with a new camper should come a new TV. Out with the 2012 Ram 1500 with 4.7 and in with the 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ with a 5.3. Can't wait to see how she tows. Hoping to take it out next week, I have to get the brake controller installed yet.

Nice looking truck! The 5.3 is surprising pretty decent on gas, or at least mine is

Nice truck. That should have a plug and play brake controller cable for that truck. Maybe some fuses or jumpers??

We are off next week to kayak the little Miami river. Camp a few miles away for 2 days. There is a kayak rental place that will haul us and our kayak back for $10 ea, from the 23 mile river run.

If it's anything like my much older chevy, there is a plastic cover under the dash left of the brake pedal, pop that cover off, and plug in! Easy peasy!

Yup, it was pretty easy. Removed the cover, plugged it in and tested it out. Brake light lit up. I'm going to mount it by my right knee but I'm not sure the exact position. I'll probably set it temporarily until I'm sure of it's position.

Hmm are there still sites open? I might be in. I gotta get some trips planned! Work has been busy and I can't just leave it sitting there.

    Greg,
I'm pretty sure your camper is feeling neglected, so scheduling a trip would make it feel better. Yes, there are still sites available.

Thanks, can't forget to bring bread for the carps and ducks walking on the carps back. We just came back from 3 days at Salt Fork State park in Ohio. Got out on the kayaks twice. Could not ask for better weather. Mild days in the sixties at night.

Here's some of my favorite things in that area of PA.

If you like cover bridges there are like 19 in the Ohio County just over from the park (Ashtabula county), including the the longest in North America. https://visitashtabulacounty.com/explore-play/covered-bridges

If you love fine candies don't miss Daffins candies in Sharon PA https://www.daffins.com/home

If memory serves correctly, I think Pat @phager76 and his family toured them last year.

There's definitely stuff to do in that area. You have the flea market in Andover, the spillway and deer park. Last year the leaves were turning and it was beautiful.

I did it again this year, the football schedule came out and Iroquois has a home game that weekend so it looks like that will also be their homecoming game. My beautiful wife will be traveling back and forth so that our daughter can go tongue game on Friday and the dance on Saturday. I guess her boyfriend trumps all of us...again.

yep, that is how those teenage years are. By the time my oldest was 18 and two younger teenagers, camping was almost thing of the past.
