Woo Hoo! Let the fun begin!

Glad you got it home safely, and great job getting it backed in on first try. Can you come teach my DH. [LOL]

Cant wait to see the pics. We also had the same issue with no key, it was open when we bought it, we closed the door and pushed in the button, come to find out, it lock automatically, Hm,, No key, Owner cant find it, He mails me a bunch of keys a month later, and only one fits. But also fits the pad lock on the hitch, that was odd, but going with it, lol.

congrats on your new PUP! I know how exciting that can be. First thing you want to do is put it up and sit in it and have a beer.

My escape is a great tow vehicle for PUPs. I've had two, both about 2000 pounds loaded and it has done great. I never felt pushed around by it or had problems with sway or control issues. Might groan a bit going up long hills [:(] My first one didn't even have brakes (Rockwood 1910) and it was fine. New one of course has brakes. I always stay out of OD as the engine revs too low to pull the Chateau.

    Have fun!

Really glad it worked out for you and congratulations. Funny how a little thing like a key can cause so much grief. Forgot ours on our maiden voyage. Now we keep the keys in the tv, pup isn't going anywhere without it! [LOL]

Have to have a photo hosting site. I use Webshots. Also, Photobucket, maybe others too.

    Sign into Webshots.
Choose the photo you wish to use.
Click on "Link To It" in the menu on the right.
Select the photo size of 500 or 600. Do not exceed 600 Pixels.
Highlight and copy the URL (Link) in the "Direct Link to Image" option (Do not use the "Post in a Forum" Option).
Go to the forum thread where you wish to post the image.
Choose "Reply to Topic" (Do not use the "Quick reply Box").
Type your reply and when you want to insert the picture in your reply, click the "Insert Image" button located in the tool bar.
Paste the Link you copied from Webshots in the pop-up box (if you have a pop-up blocker working, you may need to allow the pop-up box). Be sure you paste the image link over the existing "http://" in the pop-up box.
Click "Ok" on the pop-up box.
Continue with your posting and when finished, click "Post New Reply".

Very nice looking rig. Now have fun figuring out what to pack and where. I ended up going totally off the deep end and made up a power point layout that listed where everything went with an exploded diagram.

    Thanks!
Has only been up a few hours since Monday. Darn rain..... cleaned the interior, still have to sanitize water system. Did the potty tank last night...that was fun (sarcasm, in case you didn't guess).

I went with a 1" 1/4 drop. It was level with just the Add-a-room in it. I might have to turn it to a rise when it's loaded.

Might get the fire marshall inspection today, if not I'll have to wait till Monday.

First trip is booked for "Kentucky horse park" on Aug 7th. It's about 50 min away. I wanted the park that is 10 minutes from the house but it's booked till mid Aug.

Might be surprised with your Tribute. I was concerned about my Escape too, but it doesn't "squat" in the back when loaded.

Yes, I would be surprised as well. I have a 237 pound hitch weight dry, so loaded, I must be up close to 300 loaded and I still have a bigger drop. I also have 13 inch tires which raises the rig even more. I am almost perfectly level towing with this setup. I'm sure the escape suspension is the same as the Tributes, so I suspect you will be fine.

    Anyway, enjoy your new toy.

Whats the fire marshal inspection for, is it required for title?

Yeah, It's required in KY if it was purchased out of state. Ohio in my case. Can't get registered till that's done. Basically tow it down 10 minutes away, pop it up...they look for fire extinguisher, co2 detector and stove works without leaks. They are done in 2 minutes and am out 80 bucks. Pop down and go home.

The firm suspension has come in handy with the tribute

Not necessarily a bad thing though, i mean at least your getting your propane lines checked out of it!
