At campsite and notice there is condensation on the A/C unit on the inside. Not inside the pup; actually on the ac unit itself. Is this normal?

Here in Fl on very humid days if i leave any windows open or roof vent open i will get this on the output vents. Also make sure your filter is clean.

Sounds like humidity in the air if on the outside of the unit. If it starts dripping from the inside I'd look for a clogged drain.

I had some dripping inside recently - yesterday I found the drain (between the condenser and fan) was clogged up with mud. I am assuming this came from mud dobbers nests. I scrapped out and vacuumed out as much as I could, then washed the rest out.

Testing the theory today before we travel to AL and FL.
