[I posted this question in the wrong forum but this looks right.]

Setting up the 2000 Bayside Elite for the first time.
When I bought it the slide-out went in just fine.
But now when I pull it out there's this pin behind the latch that hits the stop block and won't let me pull it out!
I can't find anything about it in paperwork, either parts or manual.
Tried to simply push it back out of the way but don't have a tool long enough.
What is it? How do I deal with it?

(Yes, I read the owner's manual about reaching the catch and then lifting it a bit. But the catch is in the middle of the block and I/we can't lift it high enough.)

    Can you take a picture?

Sounds like you might be missing a lever type of gizmo...

Yeah a picture of the latch and of the area would definitely help.

BTW: Your question is not dumb (stupid, or any other pejorative adjective).
