There will be a star party at Martin Dies Jr. State Park this Saturday evening, Feb. 15th. Periodically, the park invites the Astronomical Society of Southeast Texas to come out and host a star party. So, if you're in the area you're welcome to come out weather permitting. The moon is full and will interfere with seeing most of the deep sky objects, but there should still be plenty to see. It will be our first camping trip this year and I'm looking forward to it.
