Had a great week camping in the Marten River campground of Lesser Slave Lake PP in August. We had a great double site so sil had a good treed spot for her tent, we had a great spot to park the PUP and still room to park the 2 cars and boat trailer, plus we had a big grassy area to play games. Not many grassy areas at LSL as its got lots of forest. We were also near the outhouses and stairs to the beach. The beach and lake here are awesome, water nice and shallow with tons of sand and the lake is so big that you can get really fun waves (or really bad waves when the wind kicks up the night before you leave and you have to take the boat 22 km to the boat launch) We caught some big walleye and pike too. They also put on some great interpretive programs - there was a bat walk down the road at the bird observatory, and another on birds in mythology - fun, and informative. The only negative is if you need a boat launch its all the way back in town (canoes and kayaks can be carried down to the beach).
