Springs 1r.JPG View attachment 37663 Here is how to add external gas springs to your A-Frame trailer to help raise the roof panels. This includes Aliner Chalet Rockwood Flagstaff A-Frame trailers.

At the last rally I attended I observed that many new A-frame trailers have gas springs added to the corners to assist in raising the roof panels. The creator of the concept is in Australia and his published article on the Aussie Website is not linked to any search engine.

I wrote an article on installing these on your Aliner, Chalet, Rockwood or other A-Frame trailer at:

Springs 1r.JPG The above link may not work. If you are having trouble reaching the file on how to add gas springs you can join this free yahoo group and then go to the files section and download the instructions.

    Try this: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/A-FrameTeam/files

Thank you for the compliment. I would recommend following the concept and share the latest thoughts on how you can best install these on an A-Frame trailer. The concept founder (David Hall in Australia) used 26" gas springs with the upper roof having 33 pound force springs and the lower having 22 pound force springs (metric to US conversion). His article can be found via my article on the subject at:
