    ATTENTION: All Forum members:
This is to ask that all readers please send up prayers for the victims of the Colgan Continental Flight #3407. Forty-Eight on board; Forty-Four passengers, two crew members, and two pilots all perished in this flight from Newark, NJ to Buffalo, NY. Two people were slightly injured and one person was killed on land. The flight came down on a residential section of Buffalo, straight into a house destroying it completely. Surrounding houses were fire damaged. This happened at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, 2/12/09. At this time nothing is known as to the cause of the crash. Investigators will begin searching for evidence of cause this morning. This is a terrible tragedy. Please pray for the souls of the departed and for solace for the surviving family members. May God give all involved the peace that is desperately needed at this time. Thank you one and all. May He bless all of us in this tragic loss.

    Regards,

    And here.

Always a shame when a plane goes down.

    And here...

I've flown in some of those planes and used to work near the factory, watched many of them in test flights. I've even overflown that area in one of those planes.

My hearts go out to the families of the victims.

I have certainly added the family of these victims to my prayers. I think often how you can wake up in the morning with the sun shining and then have something totally and completely change life the way you know it. In times like these, you figure out real quick what really matters. Plans and dreams for these families have changed in just moments. It is hard to imagine what they must be going through today.

Yep, those are pretty safe planes, I've flown on them tons of times. In fact the DW DS1 and DS2 flew on one this afternoon.

Those small planes are my favorite, I really like them in bumpy conditions <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Big Smile">
