Nope. All provincial parks allow pot to be smoked on your campsite, but not public areas near buildings, playgrounds, etc... Private campgrounds not sure, but I guess it depends on the park.
I've only seen the rule enforced when a complaint was filed. We've always covered the drinks when outside, not so much inside.
DH wouldn’t be happy with a alcohol ban. It’s his favorite camping activity. Haven’t been DRY (no beer/wine) camping since our days with the scouts, almost a decade ago... Campground rules like that makes me want to only go boondocking instead. Happy Camping...
every campground i've been to had big signs about no drinking. and everyone was drinking when i was there - including me the "bans" are there for the obnoxious folks to get thrown out.
Our experience while camping and drinking at our campfire, at a no-alcohol Maryland state park was that the Ranger came up said “there’s a wind storm headed this way. Have a nice evening.” And went on his way. Ymmv
Nope. They just shut down drinking for the two weeks before Victoria Day weekend because they had a lot of problems Don’t know why it’s a worse weekend than any other... but it seems it is.
Ontario might have a reputation for its May “two-four” weekend but a total ban for 2 weeks seems harsh.
Part time staff haven't started working yet.. that and OPP are busy on the roads and water ways to be available if they are needed at a campground..
In my experience, when it comes to ANYTHING at an Ont. PP.. if you're quiet and discreet, they will not bother you. Use a can coozie or a non translucent cup (not solo cup) and they will not be bothering you. We **MIGHT** have used those tricks at the beach area too and never had an issue even though the signs say no booze allowed. If you REALLY want to be discrete, go get these. https://www.amazon.ca/Dichmag-Silicone-Beverage-Outdoors-Sporting/dp/B07T8H5M6D
No red solo cups! What will i do with my new glassware? https://www.amazon.com/Red-Solo-Cup-Wine-Glasses/dp/B007YHP0LG/?tag=leosm1-20
