Anyone know a source for that aluminum channel used on campers that they use to cover the seams? You know the stuff, its screwed down and then they put a piece of vinyl in it to cover the screws.

Working on a camper that was backed into and this one piece of channel is trashed, we repaired the structural damage and now we just need to finish the cosmetic issues, as well as cover the seam that this piece used to cover. I got the right size vinyl to go in the channel, its 1 inch width.

    Thanks!

Find a good RV service center in your area and take a sample. Most service centers carry a variety of aluminum extrusions.

As was said, try a local RV place, you're looking for Roof Edge molding, if I'm not mistaken. THey have various overhangs, some just have a small lip that hangs over the top, however my Rockwood came with an approx 1" overhang from the factory... The molding insert can also be purchased at a local RV place. While I have heard nothing but great things about Catheys RV, the roof edge molding gets you when you try to ship it, due to the length. FWIW< the local RV place I found (the hole in the wall one, go figure) had stacks of it, and could cut to length for me... Cost me $16 for the 10' awning rail I needed, which was literally $3-$4/foot at the big RV dealer... Less than half!
    Good Luck!
