whew...temp right now is 97...just got out of my TV and the temp gauge said 107....Leaving for central PA in the morning..supposed to get to 102...I can see myself bleeding the electricity from the CG bigtime running the ac [:D]

Just be sure to keep an eye on the voltage. With everyone using their A/Cs, it could drop low enough to damage the compressor.

I was going to complain about how hot it is... then I realized that at least: 1.) it isn't 109 degrees; 2.) I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3.) I'm not dressed in a full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.; and 4.) there is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today! Thanks to all who serve !!!

It is hot! No complaints from me though. When we went camping in May, it was cold and it rained, and rained some more. We thought summer would never come. We wished for the heat and now we got it! [LOL] [LOL] [LOL]

I think the weather man said it's been 23 days at over 100 degrees, coming close to a record of number of days. Most have been between 101 and 104 in the area and it's not even August yet. East Texas is always hot in the summer but enough is enough, lets have some rain.

I really don't like heat and I feel sorry for all of you suffering in it. I'd take a little of it off your hands though. We had to run our furnace yesterday because it was so cold in the house. Seattle has only had about 78 minutes of summer so far!

I'm ready for some camping....and to get into the mountains where I can cool down a bit.

90s consistently here in Denver at the moment, [:(O] 97 is their best guess for tomorrow. I was camped at 9,500 ft last weekend, daytime highs in the mid 70s [8D] and nighttime lows in the upper 40s. [SNZ] *That's me rubbing it in some more, wolf!* Why don't you take a ride up north for a few days?

Tomorrow will be the record for consecutive 100+ degree days around here. Tied the old record today that was set during the dust bowl days. We usually see a couple of days at or near 100, but never this many, and not without some rain. I'm sure farmers are feeling it, I know my small, fruitless crop (grass) sure is.

LOL, This is my impression of me going outside to check the mail yesterday afternoon barefoot. "Ow, oh, oooh, hot, HOT!" I didn't realize it was 104* I work nights so I rarely see the sun. I walked through the garage, then in the shade of my truck, pavement didn't get hot till I was past the truck, but I figure heck I'm already half way there might as well keep going. [LOL]

Looks like I will be digging up and burying 4 dead crape myrtles and a dead magnolia this fall. SMH. Maybe I can revive them with some miracle grow, I dunno it would take a miracle that's for sure.

Well, here in So. Calif. we FINALLY got some summer weather. Over 100 inland and in the 90's along the beaches. I kept sayin' we'd be miserable in September...bet it lasts another month...

They are predicting possibly record-breaking heat for the date here in Seattle today because it may hit 85. Sunday could be another record breaker at 87. The TV news is running items on how to cope with extreme heat and stay safe. I'm sure that will have folks in Texas and the SE laughing their butts off. But, 87 is rather high for us since we generally don't go much over 80. It will still get into the mid-50s for overnight lows. It's high 90s for the eastern half of the state on the other side of the Cascades. I think I'll head into the North Cascades to get some elevation and cooler air.
