You know, for the life of me, I can't remember if it was KMart or Walmart, but it was one of the two.

Tension rods are readily available at garage sales for a buck or 2. Happy camping! :)

I'm not an avid garage saler, but I've been to quite a few and pretty sure I've never seen a tension rod at one lol.

Guess it depends on where you live :)

Sneezer, if the Velcro fails in the heat go with the commercial-grade double-sided tape. I think it might be 3M brand. Hopefully, someone here will verify that.

    Your shelves look terrific.

Thanks. I had it up for a little this weekend (getting ready for a week camping in Austin with my son) and there did not appear to be any issues so far with the velcro. I'l be keeping an eye on it as we are starting to finally get some higher temps here in TX.

Use 3M body side moulding tape. Can be found at Walmart in the auto section by the Bondo etc. Sticks like crazy regardless of heat.

Sneezer nice job. I really like the back shelf support rods. Where did you get them?

All my stuff came from container store. It is the Elfa stuff they sell. A good portion I had from prior purchases from the house. Had a lot of extra parts sitting in the garage for a couple years after we redid or house.

They have a sale this weekend for 25% off on shelving. Next big sale is 30% off Elfa only around Christmas I think.

They are $4.96 at Walmart. I did this mod in my last camper, but just checked the price to make sure of the current price. I may have paid a dollar less at the time I did mine.

Although I did the tension rod mod on my last camper, I found this photo on Pinterest that I want to try this time. It looks easier to deal with.

Even though I found it on Pinterest, it originated here, on this thread:

Yup, that's mine...I made that before the start of our season in 2009. The unit works great and comes apart easily and stores easy as well.

I had a photo album on Webshots.com, but none of my pics are there anymore. I am slowly adding pics back here when folks PM me about a mod I did.

Here is the pin from Pinterest. Look in the bottom right hand corner of photo to see how many times it has been shared. [:D]
