GOOD MORNING.....from a some what soggy sewer....its been damp with a few sprinkles since we got here, with a ton of rain overnight,
and a thunderstorm alarm clock going on right now. Everything looks to be clearing out before noon and a beautiful weekend is in the forecast. We have 8 campers here so far.
It is difficult for Carol and I to find the words to express how much our camping family means to us. Your generosity, love, and selflessness are beyond measure. You have all touched our hearts. As we pulled out of the camp site Sat. night, we knew that Carol's Aunt had been unresponsive; had brief CPR, and then transported to the Hospital. By the time we got back home at 1:30 AM, she was alert and appearing to be back to normal. She will be seeing a cardiac specialist and most likely receiving a pacemaker to address her arrhythmia and any future episodes. Again, thank you for your prayers and support.....
We did have a great time..... seeya.
As always, had a great time with some great people, old friends and new, Tons of great food to boot.... I want to thank everyone again for coming and sharing a great time. Even though we gather to have a good time, we also raised $765 for the Wilkesboro Fire Dept.
Check and mark your calendar's....Fall rally shall be Oct 13-15
Follow up to 2 April posting above..... Carol's Aunt (second Mom) has been on Hospice care ever since the problems last April. Wednesday evening her earthly battles ended and she is now at rest with our Lord. Carol was blessed to be able to be with her 24/7 during this last 5 days.
Our thanks to everyone for your prayers, well wishes and support. The contents of the "collection hat" that you gave us when we left the rally has been held. It will now be donated to Hospice in the name of our "Wilkesboro Camping Family".
Again Thank You, Dan and Carol
