I was tent camping in New Hampshire near the white mountains. I believe there are wolves there as well. Herd a pack howl one night only across the river I was beside. I wasn’t too concerned, figuring there was enough pray in the woods they wouldn’t be too interested in a person in a burrito. ;) However I sure was keeping an ear out trying to judge how close they got to that river. Sometimes being in a tent makes you feel real exposed. I’ve seen how my own dog tears apart a squirrel I sure in heck don’t want a pack of them think “the burrito” looked like easier pray.

I setup a trail camera every time I go camping but I always forget to review the footage. After seeing your post I went back and downloaded the photos. This is what I found:

Steve, the Good Lord says that a man can go to hell or lying the same as stealing. A wolf in this state would be dead no matter what the tree huggers and the feds say. Hunting concessions are big here. Small place with not great game $5,000 per year. Nice well managed place $15,000 up. There is almost zero public land in Texas so if you want to play you have to pay. I have hunted both the cheap ones I paid for the nice stuff I was a guest shooting MLP (cull bucks, does and hogs). Some ranches make more from hunting concessions than cattle sales. The King Ranch is not the largest in Texas unless the XIT has sold off more property. The King Ranch is the largest ranch that is all connected. Those Rocky Mountain states have even bigger ranches.

Must have been a Scout camping trip nearby. First kid is a Webelo with a hiking stick and the Yeti is wearing a merit badge sash. Probably playing Fox and Hounds.
