I need some suggestions for campgrounds around Atlanta. We are considering going for a weekend in mid Oct. and have never camped up there. We have camped at Indian Springs SP and High Falls SP and want to find CG closer to Atl.

Stone Mountain Ga. has a nice Campground. The Lazer show is great too.

Lake Conasaga was one of our favorites and if you have a friend with a TT you can generally get near each other. The lake has a swimming dock and many hiking trails nearby.

Well, we made reservations at Stone Mountain for Oct 21-23. Can't wait to go. The last time we were there we camped at Indian Springs St. Park. By the time we woke up, ate breakfast, and drove up there, we just did not have enough time to do everything. This time should be much better since we will be camping in the park.
