"Atomic Camper is a 16ft custom built solar powered travel trailer. It's small but has the basic amenities of a bath, galley with oven and stove, and heat ."

There's a Facebook page with more pictures.

It would be fun to search for, or build retro-sci/fi looking camp furniture and accessories to go with it. Maybe a "space camp" awning with a silver metallic appearance... For certain occasions like rallies I would also need a vintage sci/fi style space explorer uniform(s) to wear with a ray gun on my hip...

I would have thought it would have been nuclear powered.

It should probably be "atomic" with quotation marks... ;-)

For some reason it reminds me of the really old movie Fantastic Voyage I watched as a kid where a submarine was shrunk and injected in a human or something like that. Maybe a prototype that they couldn't shrink enough. [:D]. It's sure is cool looking and can only imagine the lookers they get when they roll into the campground.

I've seen it on the road a few times. He's Anchorage based, or at least was, didn't see it last year. It looks cool coming down the road at you.

That thing could be a major headache in some locations, because of the Trifoil on the back. That Trifoil designates radioactive material, and you could be stopped and searched going down the road.

It's even labeled "Reactor". That's why I thought it would have been nuclear powered.

I am envious of the full and accessible electrical panel (like in a boat). AtomicCamper07A.jpg

There are some places that you would create a Radio-logical incident, and it would get seized and destroyed as hazardous material. I have seen a piece of rope cause a intersection in San Diego to be shut down for 6 hours , because the rope was Magenta and Yellow.

The problem with the box... it's the most boring shape ever, but also the most practical. While that rocket is incredible to look at, it's wasting a lot of potential usable space.

Could put a "Mr. Fusion" on top as well. [:D] Then no telling what happens when you're towing and hit 88 mph.
