Hi all,

I have been looking in southern Vermont, for a weekend trip from Massachusetts. I stumbled upon Camping on The BattenKill in Arlington Vermont. Anyone ever stay here??

Thanks

We went there a number of times back in the 90's and always loved it. Nice quiet spots with plenty of shade and the Battenkill river to lull us to sleep. Clean restrooms and a helpful staff. Of course this was quite a few years ago. When we were in VT last October we drove by it and wished we had booked there instead of Woodford SP where we were staying. Lots to do in the area with the river for canoeing and fishing and lots of little shops all along Route 7A. Close to Bennington and Manchester VT where there are historical sites as well as shopping (the DW's favorite activity). We're planning on getting there this summer sometime. If you go, post a review, hopefully it is as nice as it was back when we used to camp there.

We have stayed there about 5 times. Last year we stayed at a place near Harmonyville and didn't like it as much so we reserved a spot at Camping on the Battenkill again for July. I can't wait. They have 2 bathrooms. One is brand new (last year). the other is functional but a little rough. The folks there are very pleasant. Like the other poster says,Arlington is close to Bennington and Manchester. I love the area. Good Luck.
