I recently bought a used 02 Starcraft. The previous owner removed the battery. I think most everything is still here except the cables that go to the battery itself. This is what I have. I am assuming that one wire is to charge from vehicle and the other goes to inverter box. But I am confused as to why the can plug into each other. Is that for just using the vehicle battery? If I wanted to go that route?

Welcome to the Portal from another South Carolinian. We are confused, also. What type of tongue plug does the camper have, 4 or 7 pin. Battery cables are black for positive and white for ground. Don't assume. Trace those wires to see where they go.

It’s a seven pin. There is a white ground so I know which one that is. It was just confusing seeing the two blacks that can plug into each other. After further review I have found that one comes from the seven pin into a junction box and then a leg of it comes out to the battery. That is the female wire pictured. The other wire goes to the inverter box(the male wire)

Could those be a quick connect for a battery tender? Where do the other ends go?

could be but if so, there are no positive hookups for the battery.

Do you mean 'converter ', otherwise there is more to talk about.

It may be helpful to get a picture of the "junction box" connections. You probably have a converter, 120vAC to 12vDC. Inverters go 12cDC to 120vAC and drains the battery quickly.

Yes but the breakaway switch should not be after any fuses.

Which pin on the seven pin plug does the wire with the female plug go to? (If I visualize it right) Is there 12v on it when plugged into the TV? Is there 12v on it when the TV is running? What size wire are the two disconnects on? This group needs more information and pictures than what we have.

i'd use a voltmeter to determine if your wire(s) are the charge line/converter/battery.

My PU was wired as shown, ring terminals, a fuse at batt +, splice into charge line, white wire from battery to chassis common (ring terminal each end, star washer and screw into frame). HTH.
