I have two group 27 batteries and am currently at a rustic site. I measured the battery level yesterday and it was a 12.49. This morning I measured it again and it was at a 12.49 again. An hour ago I decided to check again and it was a 12.5. Why would this be happening? Is it possible when I took yesterday's reading I had my fantastic fan and bunk fan on?

Was the temperature of the batteries the same for each of the readings?
    temperature increase = voltage decrease
    temperature decrease = voltage increase

I believe they were within 5 degrees of each other. I just turned on both of my fans and it dropped to 12.42, turned them off and it went back up to 12.48

5 degrees difference is about 0.17 volts for your bank.
