Hello all! Glad to find a group of people with pop ups! I recently purchased a 2007 Fleetwood Niagara from a friend. The rig is in great shape, everything works! Only 2 small issues discovered, 2 of the corner caps are cracked. I’ve called all the dealers of parts and have found only 1 company by Coleman that remanufactured the parts. They are $50 each for the plastic, I am willing to pay for it. I’ve applied a temp fix of rtv marine silicon caulk within the cracks, and it has rained here non stop for several days. No leaks to report. Other than that, all is good to go. Our first trip is planned for next weekend at lake McMurtry in Stillwater Oklahoma. The fam and I can not wait! Pulling it with my 2003 F-150, 5.4, FX4. I purchased it from a good friend in Little Rock, he made me a pretty solid deal on it. All the paperwork is in order, and I will be registering it on Monday. Future mods and plans include pop up gizmos, additional marine battery, in-line adaptor for trickle charger, j-channel A/C drip rails front and back, repack bearings, replace bearing seals, order 3,100 watt inverter (if we plan to boondock), install 1 solar panel battery charger and load controller, and before all that I’ll put in all the organizer add ons for the hand crank and all the additional parts it came with. The maiden trip next weekend is to a full service hookup park, with an on site dump. It will be a 1 night stand to gauge the kids and wife’s expectations and needs for future trips. We are packing lightly and trying to avoid overloading. Hopefully it will be a learning process for all of us. I’d like to give a huge shout out to Stephen, who helped me with my account so promptly and effortlessly (to me :)! Glad to be a member, and looking forward to the discussion.

    Welcome from Northern Neck Virginia...

I highly recommend you do a couple of nights camping in the driveway or back yard to get familiar with everything and find out what supplies and things you may want to carry along with you...

It is a lot less stressful to find out the things you may need going to your local WALMART or LOWES store then to find it out half way though your trip on the road...

We just run an extension cord from the garage receptacle out to our trailer in the back yard to clean things and even sleep over night a few times... Kinda neat actually... You just have to be mindful what you have turned on at the same time in the trailer otherwise you may trip your garage circuit breaker...

We also have a rather close-by Westmoreland State Park where we like to go to and check new to us things... It is only 25 miles away from here....

Have fun on you upcoming trip...

    Roy Ken

Hey Shaman1, where is your favorite place to camp in oklahoma?

We are looking at McMurtry in Stillwater, skiatook lake, and thunderbird south okc. Looks like potential for severe weather this weekend, pretty bummed about that as we were planning our first outing.

In Stillwater, I usually go to Lake Carl Blackwell, a bigger lake but not as excluded. T-Bird is so dirty I rarely go there and a lot of college parties in the summer. I love Tenkiller in the NE and McGee Creek in SE OK. The equestrian loop at Robber's cave is not bad especially with kids. The upper camp level is just sardines in a can camping.

    Hi!

We have a 07 Niagara as well! Congrats! We absolutely love our Bertha the Beast. Take her out every other weekend. Just came back from Cape Henlopen State Park and ended up spending Saturday night with another family from Maryland who also had a Fleetwood Niagara Highwall.

Enjoy camping in your wonderful trailer!

Shaman1 thanks for the lead on robbers cave, I think the kids would really enjoy that one. We ended up not going last weekend, and all the rain and storms this weekend kept me busy with a roof repair and a flooded shed! All cleaned and fixed now. Spring rain can be brutal!

Jorja, do you have any lessons learned with the Niagara? I’m quickly learning now that parts are available, but pricey. I found one video on YouTube very helpful for my dinette slide alignment. I’m going to adjust this when everything dries out around here.
