Can you haul your kayak (s) on top of the pop up? Would it damage the roof?

I had a rack on a Jayco , and hauled 2 yaks and a canoe ...I would recommend a rack tho. as t puts the weight onto the sides of the top rather than the top itself.

Yes you can haul a kayak on your pop up roof and yes you can damage the roof BUT there are many ways to carry it on the roof without damaging it. Not knowing what brand/model camper you have or if you have an air conditioner or Fantastic fan or what it is difficult to offer an informed opinion on which of those ways would be best for you.

The technology for carrying kayaks on top of vehicles is well established with proven safety and convenience, but not so for pup roof top.

We have two kayaks and we will be building a way to carry them. The secret is no weight on the top of the pup but rather from the front A frame and the rear bumper/frame member. Remove the rack before popping up.

do a Google image search for pop up camper canoe rack, and you'll see hundreds of ideas.

Do think through the consequences of using your PUP to transport your kayaks. Are you sure you are not going to move the boats after the camper is set up? Is the launch site immediately next to your campsite so you can carry them there? Might you want to paddle someplace else on the lake? These are no problems if you can carry your kayak on your car but real issues if you have to carry them on your PUP.
