I found an awning online at a good price due to the fact that the color is discontinued. The awning states that it is 8 ft. So, when I went to measure the old awning bag, it was 9 ft. Do you think it would be a big deal to install a shorter one?
    Need some insight...

It work fine on the c-channels on our pup. the awning just slides into the channel and is (usually) secured in place by screws or the like. So, if it is shorter than the original, you'd just place it where you wanted (centered or not) and fasten it. [For a couple of reasons, we did not actually attache it, we slide it in as we set up camp, and it is sometimes left home.) I'd think shorter would be better than longer.

I would double check on the size. What I was told by an RV dealer is that they come in 7ft, 9 ft and 11ft, intended for PUPS 8ft, 10ft and 12ft. So my guess is that it may actually be only 7ft wide intended for an 8ft camper. Still it should work if you're willing to go smaller.

I have tried all those promo codes and none of them work. Says item in cart does not qualify for the discount. Thats sux cuz I'd be all over one of these with a 10 percent discount. I will probably buy one anyway.

I tried them all too... no luck. This one was the best deal I could find. Hope it works out... yet, anything will be better than our old one. Thanks for link anyway!
