Our cure/band aid for cabin fever is to take day and or overnight trips to check out campgrounds in a 5 hr drive vicinity. We don't winter camp and we are retired. We live in NC. When ever we are traveling on longer trips we attempt to check out campgrounds in the area of our destination. We check private, state and NP. It helps to break up the winter months. A couple of places we had on our bucket list were scratched off the list. Glad I didn't pull Pup that far to be disappointed.

We love checking out new campgrounds .We like the coe ,national and state campgrounds. When we go we try to find a nice restaurant or a casino . It is nice being retired and can go any day of the week.We live in Alabama and do winter camp to.

When you are retired, everyday is Saturday. But I'm so busy, I'm going to go back work so I can take a day off once in a while.
