30 rules? I'm on board with creeping charlie and WingShot (but please, no need for the shotgun and this bear...I is harmless). I have enough trouble with my load list for the camper....Unfortunately we have sired a generation that does not understand the concept so eloquently provided by WingShot... [:D]

#29 is not going to happen. I wouldn't trust a dangerous dog with my gun.

A tin can WILL melt in a campfire. Especially if it has been burning for awhile and the bed of coals is hot. I have proven this.

Tin can, heck a glass beer bottle will completely melt in a campfire

A campfire with good ventilation can reach 2500 F. Aluminum beer cans melt to the size of a dime. (So I am told.) [;)]

Well then, I must not be following the people who get their fires that hot because I sometimes find scorched cans and bottles in the fire pit. I hate it when that happens. IMO it's just a much better practice to refrain from throwing any cans, bottles, garbage or other trash in the fire.

I never intended to imply it's a good idea to use your campfire for trash. Except maybe for paper products. Just wanted to add to the heat discussion. Most campers probably wouldn't have that hot a fire but it's possible.
You probably see garbage that people throw in the pit and not actually in the fire. I totally agree with you on the subject.

When I do build a fire, I do burn the aluminum cans that are there before I start my fire. [;)] I rarely whine about the trash left by prior campers, I either burn it or gather it up and put it in the trash.

So if I ride up at 10 pm on my American motorcycle going 20 MPH with my dangerous dog in the sidecar right next to the scabbard with my gun, accidentally running your loud misbehaving child's foot over causing him to crap his diaper which you now put in the smoldering fire causing the stink in the campground. I am a bad camper? [:D]

As long as you don't cut through my site I'd say your ok. Otherwise I will have to get up at 5am and bang a bunch of pots and pans together...... Luckily my wife is 7'3" 300lbs of ex cage fighter and a penguin tamer so when she asks people to quite down they listen

Don't forget to fire up your genny to power your boom box you're going to listen to when you take a shower leaving a nice big, soapy gray water puddle for the next guy! [:D]

We should turn this list into a Bingo game and report how many spots we covered on a Monday morning!

Etiquette is running wild and yapping!!!!!Shoot it before it posts more grey/black/yellow water on that smelly camp/garbage fire causing your "well mannered" rug rats to put down their battery operated baby sitters and flee through the neighbor's campsite. [2C]

I am glad no one thinks digging a hole and using it for the bathroom is a breach of etiquette. I much prefer #2 in the bushes and burying it then using the toilet at the campground. For #1 you can just go to any nearby tree.
