    Hi folks,
We are driving from N. California to Yellowstone this week. I'm looking for an easy to use campground for a night on the way. I'd like to stay close to highway 80. Also, a full service campground would be just fine. Just need a good night's sleep between two long days of driving.
    Thanks for your suggestions!

You will probably get better results by placing this question in the Campground Suggestions forum. This forum is to provide reviews of campgrounds where you have stayed.

I stayed in Idaho falls (or twin falls) whichever is first out of jackpot. it is right next to snake river where where Evel Kneivel jumped his mc and broke 200 bones (ya right). It was a nice stay after the long trip past Reno and jackpot. I stayed at the motel next to the truck stop but there is a CG there. Saw other people setting up in gravel lots for free though.

    Do you mean Elko?
Think you need a do over.

Personally I'd just pull off I80, find a little jeep trail and park it out of the way. Waking to desert dawn quiet and light is priceless.

Looking at Benchmark Maps Nevada Road & Recreation Atlas, there does not appear to be any CGs close to I 80 between subject towns (assuming you meant Elko). However, there is Mill Creek Recreation Area 24 miles south of Battle Mountain.

    Oops...

Yes, I meant Elko. And I realize I posted in the wrong place.

    Update:

We stayed at Double Dice RV park in Elko. Sparse, but fine for a stopover. DS went for a off road bike ride down to a little lake below. Iron Horse RV park looked nicer, and has a pool, but was full. Both parks have lots of full timers.

See my review for South Fork just outside of Elko.
