    I know we all like to show off our pop ups. How about our boats as well? Here - I'll start.....

    <img src="http://inlinethumb02.webshots.com/20609/2313662430058778913S600x600Q85.jpg" border=0>

    The canoe is a Mohawk Blazer 16 - the yellow, closed cockpit kayak is an Aquaterra Spectrum S and the purple, sit-on-top is an Aquaterra Kahuna.

    Show us your paddlecraft - either on or off the water.

    Here is my Pungo 120 rigged for fishing and the pic below is our two Hobie Adventures and the Pungo on our Heavy Duty Texas size kayak trailer at a military resort on Lake Texoma:

    <img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/Yellowkayak/100_0796.jpg" border=0>

    One day I'll take some good pic of the Adventures, they are great kayaks for fishing (hands-free fishing can't be beat).

    Y.K. - Do you have any close up pictures of how you've constructed that rack on your flat trailer? The reason I had all three paddlecraft out today is because of this project -

    <img src="http://inlinethumb02.webshots.com/41537/2023809900058778913S500x500Q85.jpg" border=0>

    I found these generic rain gutter towers at our local outdoor store for $50/set of four.

    <img src="http://inlinethumb48.webshots.com/3119/2121161450058778913S500x500Q85.jpg" border=0>

    Add two treated 2X4's at $3/ea. and the rack is done.

    I discovered today that 3/4" Schedule 40 pipe (not CPVC, Schedule 40) is the same O.D. as Yakima's bars. I thought maybe I could put my kayak saddles on this rack by attaching a short piece of pipe with strap clamps screwed to the 2X4's. But - I'd like to see how yours is made. It may provide some inspiration or ideas.

    Somehow I think the easiest idea is just throw the Tupperware boats in the bed of the trailer and bungee cord the crap out of them. <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_lol.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Laugh Out Loud">

    Themanfromvan - Here you go. Its heavy duty made with pressure treated lumber. I can haul eight yaks on it. We usually only take three (we have five), and there is one box for each yak. The mirage drives and other things that come with the Adventures take alot of room. I am going to sell the big trailer and buy and modify a harbor Freight trailer with 12" wheels. The trailer is a beast and takes up alot of room on our property. The pup takes enough room, so I want a trailer I can fold up and stick in the corner of the property out of the way. With the rack system on my truck that I just bought and assembled, I can haul all three yaks now without any trailer and haul the popup too, which was my goal in eliminating the trailer. Here are some more pics:

    <img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/Yellowkayak/P6200007.jpg" border=0>

    <img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/Yellowkayak/P6200005.jpg" border=0>

    Yes those are Thule Hullivators, they save the wife's and my back which we both suffer badly from anyways so any help in lifting yaks is a great help.

    <img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/Yellowkayak/100_0696.jpg" border=0>

    <img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/Yellowkayak/100_0695.jpg" border=0>

    The cross bars that the yaks sit on can be adjusted up or down depending on the hieght of the yaks when placed on their sides, hense me able to haul up to eight yaks on the rack.

    Selling the trailer if anyone is interested. It can haul a car on it, rated at 5000 pounds and has surge brakes so it can hook up to any 2" ball any Class three or higher hitch. The boxes stay with me though.

    My old way of hauling them. The yellow and white one is a Pelican tandem that I had bought while thinking that my (then) 10 year old wasn't able to paddle on her own. She showed me up in a hurry the first time she went solo. So the tandem was sold, DD#2 got DD#1's boat, DD#1 got my Daggar, and poor old me had to go shopping for something new! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Big Smile"> My new one is still yellow, but it paddles more like a dream than the barge that the tandem was!

    I don't have pics yet of my current system, as I'm not sure if I can take all 4. It may need some tweaking yet to get them all up there.

    Finally got some pics;

    <img src="http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/JamesRL_photo/Canoe/DSCF0669.jpg" border=0>

    <img src="http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/JamesRL_photo/Canoe/DSCF0651.jpg" border=0>

    The guy who made it (2 person shop) called it a 16' 3" canoe but also admits he measures it differently - from where the gunwales meet at each end, not the furthest distance. If we measure it that way its a 17' Prospector type lightweight (60 lbs) Fibreglass canoe with triple keels and 3 bracing ribs for stiffness.

    It handles best when loaded up as a tripper - very stable flatwater. On our recent vacation I took it into the wilderness for a 2 day trip with my son, and it easily carried the load. On the other hand, a little tippy when just two people, especially if they don't kneel.

    More pics on photobucket, feel free to look around.

    This is my new Ocean Kayak tandem: Malibu two XL. Will try it out come spring. I'am now looking for plans to build a kayak rack for my Coleman camper. Will post pics when rack is finished.

    It's so nice to see water in it's liquid form! I'm getting really tired of it as a solid!

    I could be wrong, but I do believe that this is caused either by having pop ups blocked or having your computer's security setting too high.

    Someone with more expertise on the matter can chime in.
