Wanted to post a pic or two
On a Fleetwood Arcadia (4 metre awning and room)
Looks very comfy! nice work!
Is the Carefree awning a self rolling model? That's what I would love to find for our highwall.
So was I but I never found one big enough but still strong enough to manage without the larger support that you find on a hard body.
This is just a bag awning but with enough improvements to make it the best one I found anywhere
Looks good. I’m seriously thinking of giving in and buying another awning. How easy is it to set your awning up? Particularly if your by yourself? Do you need tie outs to support it?
Compared to the ones that came with my two campers (both Coleman/fleetwood) it is so simple to use that it almost makes me angry that the fleetwood one is so bad. And so needlessly heavy.
Setting up alone is simple if you add the wall cleats. That allows you to just lean it in and lock the support in place. Fantastic approach and dead simple to add the cleats (included with the awning)
Another simple but huge improvement is that the bars are permanently attached, just hinged and telescopic.
When rolled up, there is a Velcro loop to hold everything in place, so opening and closing the zipper doesn’t have to be a struggle.
I had a Carefree Campout on my Palomino and it is what I think is the Gold Standard in easy setup. I really missed it on my next pup
Can you tell me where you got the chairs???
love the set up
They are Woods Mammoth chairs, which are sold in Canada at Canadian Tire, but are also available from Woods USA (in colours I wish were available up here) for the Americans.
