On the Road Full Time
[PU]Beautiful campground within 15 miles of Canadian Border. Quaint villages including Newport and Derby Line. Stanstead, Que is also a nice village. Salem lake is close so bring the canoe/kayak.

Went to hockey school in Stanstead back in the late 70's ... very nice town.. We (3 room mates and myself) wandered down the road to a neighbouring town one day and without knowing it, crossed into the USA ... lol Canada Customs guy was shocked when we were walking back, 4- 12 year olds just wandering across the Border ... Ahhh those were the days...

I had the pleasure of camping here 4 days in August of 2017. My daughter & family live in the border town of Derby. This beautiful gem in just 3 miles down the road. We were traveling up to Vermont for the birth of our granddaughter. My daughter would be in the hospital for 3-5 days, and my hubby and son in law were putting in a new floor. So the best way to keep 3 boys busy and out of the way--CAMPING. I normally am not a "private campground" type of camper. I prefer state parks with a few amenities (Allegany State Park NY is my #1). But this park is a perfect balance of both. The grounds are manicured. Restrooms, laundry, rec room, clean clean clean. A pool, two great playground areas. A dog walking area, nice camp store. walking distance to beautiful Lake Salem. Lots of things to do around Newport, Derby, and further out into Stowe, etc. Great Lakes for fishing, boating. And the staff and owners are top notch. When I checked in I said my hubby wasn't staying, but may come back in evening for campfire. The owner told me , she is on site 19 and if I need anything or have emergency with the kids come wake her up.
Great, Great Park.
