Just got back from 3 day trip.

Nice short drive from Syracuse NY area - 2 hours 20 minutes including the border crossing.

Park is very quiet, people are nice, rangers patrol regularly, and the lake had good fishing.

The campground is a bit tired and needs a little updating. There are new “comfort stations” which were very nice and the dump station was new and very clean.

Overall a good trip and the park is just a little updating away from being really nice.

Sounds like you had a great time, also sounds like the park and the workers are great too.
Only problem with 3 day trips is the time is to darn short:) Good Luck and Keep on Camping

Just got back from a rally at this park. We are from Maine (USA) and loved the park. The lake was awesome for paddling, swimming and wildlife. Campsites could use some leveling and as usual according to what I've read about PP's bring an extension cord for power. Staff were very friendly and even had a paddle tour of one end of the lake to point out geography and wildlife in the lake. We stayed in the Shady Ridge loop an especially nice touch that you don't see in our state parks was a canoe rack to store your kayak/canoe while visiting. It was nearby to 1000 Islands and the town of Gananoque which was a quaint little town with friendly people. We are planning on going back on our own in the future. We stayed there for 5 days.
