I do not think so. There honestly isn't much difference but enough of one where it could leak if you don't get the correct size. My dad bought one without looking it up in his manual and although it fit it wouldn't screw on tight enough to not leak.

Yea, Snow, I just discovered this after lots of researching. 3/4" x 9.5" by using 1 1/16 socket. I ordered 2 from Amazon and should get it before I go camping this Friday. I do not really use the hot water much but I want a peace of mind.

Figured I’d revive this thread with a question I have about my anode rod.

2001 Sea Pine. Bought last year and recently pulled the anode rod.

Good news: Took some effort due to rust, but was able to remove it.

Bad news: It MUST be the original. It is worn down so bad that the rod is about the diameter of a 12 ga wire. And even that seems brittle. Almost a black oily substance on it as well.

I put it back in until I have more time to deal with it.

My question: It doesn’t seem as though a new one would fit, due to all the build up. Does anyone have experience with how I should proceed?

I use a wire brush to clean the threads.
