Is anyone going to this event?
We have no plans for anything there... what is the event? what is the date?
http://www.halloweeninthepark.org/ here is a direct link to the Friends of Codorus SP website with the event announcement. 10/26-28, Codorus State Park, dcnr website has $33 per night for electric sites. Keep in mind the public is invited to "drive thru" and to come trick or treating as well, so there will be extra persons/kids/car traffic too.
Site availablility is very limited, so if you plan to go, get your ressies in now.
We are not attending this year.
We are attending and there are still some sites left. Check it out!
aaah, memories from last year...
Sebring...was that the only year you've gone? We're hoping that snow doesn't strike Halloween two years in a row!
Any interest JeepMama?
Last year was our first year. We arrived a little too late for trick or treating for the first and only night due to the snow. As we drove to our site, we saw that the park was very busy with a number of rangers directing traffic and the Halloween decorations were extensive and imaginative. In addition to food concessions, there was a hay ride and a chainsaw woodcarving demonstration.
We still have to reserve for this year. We are going to Promised Land SP for Columbus Day weekend.
Promised Land is not far from where we live but haven't been there yet. So are you going to Codorus?
Yeah, the kids want to go to Codorus for Halloween in the Park.
Pluck - I am interested, but I have two boys in Little League Fall Ball this year(and a husband who 'manages' one team and is a 'coach' on another). We are already missing multiple games due to camping this coming weekend. I don't think I will be able to convince Peter to make additional reservations. Have fun
We're not going to make it either. Drats. The pup has been in the shop for roof repairs and will not be done in time. Very disappointed.
