Look at west systems G Flex 2 part epoxy. Its the only product I found to to adhere to the ABS and have a permanent bond. I had a large crack that I wetted fiberglass cloth with G Flex and it lasted until I got tired of fixing hairline cracks all over the top. At that point I removed the outer layer of ABS and applied T-Rex and have looked back.
Thanks, how many gal did it take to do the roof? what kind of prep is needed and do I have to buy some prep supplies? I assume you used a roller to put it on or can this be thinned and sprayed

Just spent a couple months in my garage replacing parts of the floor. Not looking forward to another project for a while :)

If I were you I would look at some of the treads for Coleman roof repairs than you will know what that entails and the other option is to go and build a custom top. I will be building a top myself this winter. I choose to build so that I can make the roof taller to accommodate a regular size mattress.

Good Luck
I was curious your process for rebuilding your roof..

Lot’s of prep is the key to a success. I talked to a really helpful technician at Speedo Kote the company that makes the T-Rex product I used. I purchased a gallon of their primer and 12 bottles of the white bed liner. That amount allowed for great coverage. I sprayed the T-Rex from a gun from the kit. The majority of the work involved the prep of the foam roof. Bondo was applied to areas that had imperfections then sanded flush. I found that the red bondo set extremely hard compared to the white all purpose version. Sanding the red version flush removed some surrounding foam which created more work. The white version sanded flush so much easier and was easier to clean up the dust created.

We have an ABS roof on our '98 Grandview SP. It sags a bit and has cracking around the front side under the awning. As of this point I keep on top of the cracks with the ABS/MEK goo option. The sagging really hasn't affected anything yet, so I just keep my eye on things. I am sure if I am going to keep the camper there is a roof re-build in my future but at this point I just deal with it. We really like the size and options of the Grandview SP so I am in no real hurry to get a new camper.

I was wondering who here has a Coleman ABS Roof. Also, if you have had problems and fixed it, what did you do?
Removed storage box. Removed cheap plastic roof. Coated foam room with Grizzly Grip. Made reinforcements inside. Done.

Hey, this looks like our Utah too! Well, we haven't decided what to do with the former storage box area. Do you remember how much Grizzly Grip you used? We have figured 3 gallons.

You can remove them and then use a backer plate on the inside of the foam, sandwitch the foam, bracket on one side, metal plate on the inside..dicore and bolt. Dicore around the outside bracets. The paint with GG.
