Awesome! Be careful, those things are addicting and multiply if you place them too close to each other LOL
I really need to book that rally next year! Octobers are tough for me, the rally weekend is the only weekend Ill be home for the next 5. If I attend, ill be living in it HAHA.
Hmmm, wonder if I could sneak a ride in just to visit though........

You wouldn't regret it - it's looking to be the largest turnout yet. Great folks, great food, great times.

You certainly can, but if you don't there is plenty of extra in everyone else's coolers!

so, this is what i bought this morning at neighbors garage sale.
this lantern does NOT sit in the case correctly.
    needs glass & mantles first.
    is the case from 1980?
    lantern bottom is stamped 11-92.
    or are those part/model numbers?

    ten dollars! D4FD571F-D2F3-47B5-A9C3-F1CDBD1C0482.jpeg 8D956568-6982-4ACB-B666-E973D34B5242.jpeg 53B64FBC-94E6-43B1-8533-FCC3537D2299.jpeg 77A0D379-DCA0-42F8-A2A2-4A5EAA1F0674.jpeg

ok i know what the white camp fuel is, but what is the “other” fuel?
what is the fuel difference between the white camp fuel & kerosene?

i have a can of each, Kerosene specificly for an oooooold black kerosene heater, which i have not used since i acquired it.

That lantern will run on Coleman fuel or unleaded gasoline.

Coleman did make and I believe still makes a kerosene lantern. I have one. To light it, you have to preheat the generator with alcohol before you start the kerosene flow....It is a very neat lantern to run.

Are you saying fuel squirts out at mantles and won't light?....if so, sounds like bad fuel or the wrong kinds fuel.

When you checked if fuel was getting through did you check it with the generator on or just the valve? Make sure gen is not clogged and also the air tube ( the part that the generator sticks into) is not plugged ( favorite place for mud wasp nest)

This is my first liquid fuel lantern w mantles. (my other lights are all propane can type or old railroad oil lamps.)
so i dont have a book or know the lantern part names.
but i found it on google!

its bright daylight, so maybe i can see something.
will get a new bottle of gas at wally later.

in the meantime, work on the old stove i got this summer to refurb.
scraping out old crusty gasket an gas cap, etc.

ez off oven cleaner melted the paint off!
    was not expecting that!

i replaced the leather cup in pump with original leather.
the fuel i used in lantern worked in stove& i now have nice blue flames on both burners!

aux valve needed some coaxing w pliers to open.

first time that stove has been lit in 20 years! whoo hoo!

Yes, I put oven cleaner on a 3 burner last year and discovered it takes the Coleman paint off....I ended up stripping that stove and painting it to match my TT.

    back to the lantern.
dumped the gas out, & filled 1/2 way with Coleman gas. the pump is the newer plastic parts, so i used the old leather cup & added to assembly to help it, & pumped it up.
took off tip of nozzle on generator & clean, reassembled lantern.

i do not hear the hiss of gas.
    did not light.
new mantles from last night now dust.

    is it saveable.?

Yes, it is saveable....Hard to diagnose without it in front of me, though.
