We have just started our coleman Newport '85 restore.

We are starting with roof repairs but are attempting to do them all with the top still attached to the trailer since we don't have the space to take it off and do the repair.

Here is our blog to show our progress so far:

    Any tips are appreciated.

We are planning to replace the entire interior roof, seal the outside edging then paint the entire roof with some sort of rubberized paint to seal any small holes.

Then decor (cupboards, table, new mattresses, etc).

No tips here because I haven't done it before, but I just wanted to say keep it up! I always like watching the restore threads on these older popups.

Finally the weather is warming up and we have been able to get more work done on the pop up.
We have all of the rotten material out of the roof and most of it replaced. We can hopefully finish it up within the week.

Next is the replace the corner caps and seal the roof exterior up and paint it. We are just waiting on the corner caps to arrive in the mail.

5 weeks until camping starts for our family...2 months until our big road trip to the east coast :)

Updated photos here...most to come soon as we get more work done.

    Huge progress has been made!
We finished the interior roof, replaced the corner caps, sealed the exterior, painted the exterior, sealed the canvas and took her out for a weekend camping.

New photos are loaded on the web page below.

The next items n the to do list are:
    - curtains
    - organize our supplies a bit better
    - get ready for our big trip to the east coast
