I have a 90 Newport, needs some updates, roof attention (I hope not much) and I want to add a shower. Anyone have experience with this?

Awesome! So a laundry sink and you did not mount a black tank you just use a portable container. Thanks!!

Black tank? [?:~{] Shower waste water is grey water, not black, and yes - if you look through my entire Santa Fe album you'll see how I drained shower water into a portable 4 gal container sitting on the ground, 'though one could use a larger low profile tote tank if they preferred.

For a toilet I'd install a porta potti with it's own self contained waste tank, just as I did with our Santa Fe. Next spring we're picking up a 2005 Fleetwood Resolute in which I plan to install a Thetford electric flush porta potti as there's just no way I'm going to trek to a campground bath house in the middle of a cold, rainy night. Hi. Welcome from Oklahoma. Remove the inside shroud. it just pops off. Unplug the unit. Remove the outside shroud. It usually has screws on the side. You then will see the bolts/machine screws that holds the unit on. Remove them. The AC should lift off. It may be stuck to the seal so, don't be afraid to work it some. I place a half sheet of plywood on the roof when I lay/kneel on the roof to spread the weight. I think the unit weighs about 35 pounds and I did it without any help. Make sure you remove all of the old gasket. Have fun. Steve

The top unit for a typical roof mount 13,500 BTU A/C weighs 70 - 80 lbs, depending on make / model.

This thread may be dead, but I’m currently fixing up an ‘00 Bayside Elite. Excited to hopefully get it in good working order, make it our own, and make a bunch of memories!

It may be dead but I still get email alerts to it and I'm still in love with my old Coleman popup! One of these years I'm going to finish all the house projects I've got in the works and move onto finishing up my popup rebuild!

    '92 Coleman Colorado Sport.

I'm still keeping it pretty minimalist but I'm off the ground at least :)

It needs some work but I'm looking forward to getting out in it.

Just got an 85 Sun Valley. I am a UPS driver and one of my customers had it sitting on the side of the house for years. Each time I saw them, I would ask what they were doing with it as it never moved. 2 Monday’s ago was my lucky day. They were outside and I asked again and they went inside and got the title and signed it over to me. The price was zero. Free pop up. They were the original owners as well. It needs a good cleaning. I already washed the exterior and it looks great. The only issue I see so far is the top does not raise all the way up. It needs to go about 2 more inches. Any advice on what to look for? I did not inspect the wiffletree yet.

    thanks,
    Bondo
