Well, after nearly a year of on-and-off renovation, the pup's finally getting packed & buttoned up for our first road trip. Gone are the tweedy earth tones and mouse-nibbled upholstery! Adios to the mottled beige formica and the faux wicker flooring! Farewell to the woodgrain-printed vinyl covered metal!
Here's a few shots of the new decor:

Very nice! What did you use for the flooring?

The flooring is Armstrong sheet vinyl with a very realistic pattern and woodgrain texture. Nice heavy quality. We found it for very cheap at the Habitat for Humanity store, and it is exactly what I wanted - something rustic.

Very nice. I like the table setup. Gives me a few ideas for my son's Sun Valley.

Thanks for the nice comments, all! BTW, the cabinets are navy blue, but the photos make them look purple.
I should have posted these before shots. The photos look better than it actually was! You also have to imagine the aroma of mildew and 10,000 mothballs!

As far as mechanical interior mods & upgrades, so far we redid all the wiring & went with a heavier guage, a new converter, which was moved from the back wall to the dinette bench that holds the water tank. New overhead LED lights & additional wiring ready for a fan or more lights, 2 new 110 outlets & 2 12v outlets, a new light switch by the door, & new LED stepper door light. All new hoses for the plumbing & a new pump faucet.
Over this winter we'll paint the exterior, work on upgrading the plumbing and installing a dinette shower, and I'd like an exterior access hatch for the front storage cabinet, and a solar panel and a second battery.
Plus there's all the great mods I have bookmarked for DH's honey-do list..... [:D]

JetMech- Your curtains look in pretty good shape, and I do like that sink cover.
RhinoDave- That's a Walmart table. It's bigger than it looks, and the height is adjustable. It folds flat like an ironing board. I think it only cost $20.
TNTimeshare - Much obliged! No rush!

    Wow, that looks awesome!
Did you replace the cabinet doors or just paint everything?

Thanks, Bullfrog! I just repainted them for now, but we will eventually rebuild them.
They are particle frames covered in vinyl woodgrain, with wicker-look pressboard. At each mitered corner of the doors, the vinyl has split apart and lifted up, separating from the wood. So I tried to glue and clamp all the corners, and then filled the gaps with wood filler. But there are still bubbled areas around the frame edges. If something scrapes against them too hard, the vinyl tears.

What a refreshing change. It's about time somebody took an older camper and really brought into a current style. Looks great not a bit stodgy. Who in the family is the color designer?[8D]

I love the colors you chose and the work that you have done. I noticed a lot of IKEA stuff in there (my favorite store!). It's so neat to see all the work that you have done, it gives me so many ideas. Thanks for posting :).

CreepingCharlie - My career has been mostly in the creative arts, so I take full blame responsibility! If DH had done it, it would be wall-to-wall plaid and camo [:D]
Ryoukoe - IKEA is the best! Because their european design perspective is focused on small spaces, they have tons of stuff that work great for campers. We even have an IKEA storage unit in the tow vehicle.
