Considering buying a 1995 Jayco Jay series. Does this model have trailer brakes?

    Considering buying a 1995 Jayco Jay series PUP. Does this model have trailer brakes?

    May or may not. The small 8 and 10 foots usually didn't. The larger boxes maybe. The only way to tell is to look at the back of the wheels. sorry.

    What model? A 1995 Jayco may or may not have brakes but if it does they will be surge brakes as Jayco was one of the last holdouts still installing surge brakes on some models when just about everyone else was installing electric brakes.

    I had a 1990 Jayco 1006 which was a 10' box popup. My popup did not have breaks. Its also possible a previous owner may have installed something as well if it didn't come from factory. Only way to tell is to check.

    I believe it is a 1206 model. We will be checking it out tomorrow.
