    100 Sites, 50 Amp/30 Amp/Primitive

We have stayed in this campground multiple times, but this particular time we spent 3 nights on Columbus Day Weekend, October 5-8.

Site Details: Site #859. The last site on the "hill" section of the campground behind the main office. Spacious site for our small PuP and TV, although we did need a leveling board under on side to level the PuP. Overall, the site was relatively level given it's position on a hill. Electric and water hookup are in the rear corner of the site. The site was directly behind the campground store, the newest bathroom facility at the campground was less that 200 yards from the site.

Campground Facilities: The campground itself is one of the most well-kept campgrounds we have been to, and is constantly adding and updating amenities. My family has been coming to the campground for years, but we have been camping on our own with the PuP for a year now. The campground offers 18 sites designated for PuPs (842-849), all of which included 30amp Electric & Water hookup. 4 include cable hookup as well (842-845). These sites are located on a hill behind the campground's main entrance and feature ample tree coverage and mostly level, stoned surfaces in each site, decently spaced from other sites to provide privacy. There are also 20 sites that are listed as TT sites but are reasonably sized for PuPs (801-820) on flat main camping loop, but these sites do not feature the same amount of tree coverage or privacy. There are 3 bathhouses in the campground, 2 within close distance to the PuP sites. One was built in 2017, the other was recently renovated and both feature multiple showers, bathroom stalls and laundry areas. The campground store features everything you would expect, from campground essentials to small food selection, firewood and ice. The campground is located just off US Route 30, one of the main highways in the area.

Surrounding Area: The campground is located in Lancaster County, the heart of "Pennsylvania Dutch Country", and the community is compromised of mostly Amish farms and residences. Dozens of farmer's markets, bakeries, general stores and other similar locations are within a 10 minute drive of the campground. Two major store outlets are also 15 minutes from the CG to the West (Rockvale Outlets and Tanger Outlets-Lancaster). 10 minutes South is the town of the Strasburg, home to the historic Strasburg Railroad and numerous train museums. Further to the West, about 35 minutes, is the town of Hershey, PA with the Hershey Chocolate Factory and HersheyPark Amusement Park great family attractions. Some of our local favorites include Bird-In-Hand Family Restaurant and Kaufmann's Farm Market in Bird-In-Hand, Good's Store in East Earl, and Lapp Valley Farm Ice Cream in New Holland.
