Crazy little vintage PU “Irwin’s Kamper”???

    Very Cool to see these. We have a 1965 Nimrod Pioneer. Original Tent, I have had a few tears repaired and a new zipper installed at an awning repair shop.

    It is less than 400 pounds empty, the only thing in it is the 2 slides, mattresses and the tenting. I move it around easily by myself.

    Mine is complete inside and weighs 1350 lbs before I pack anything in it. We had it weighed at 2 different places just to be sure.

    I'm sure mine could be towed with a motorcycle. I'll get it weighed someday soon and post the weight.

    I went online to look up the weight, it is listed at 650 pounds. A little more than I would have guessed.

    I found my Nimrod on Craigslist after much watching. I was lucky, you don't see a lot of the vintage tent campers for sale.
