Dan Nicholas Park and Campground is located at 6800 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, North Carolina.

The campground is located within the park itself with 70+ sites. There are NO sewer hookups but there is a dump station that is FREE for the campers to use.

There are sites that have both Electric and Water and some sites that are primitive with no hook ups.

This campground located in the piedmont of NC is very PopUp friendly as most sites will accommodate a PUP with relative ease. Site #36 is a great site, it is level and very large and directly across from the bathhouse (there are 2 bathhouses in the campground).

The campground sometimes stays full so you will need to check in advance. It is a reasonable rate and the only downside is that it must be paid in full at the time of reservations.

With the campground being located in the park, there is access to the parks facilities such as a lake with fishing and paddleboats, a wildlife refuge, petting zoo, carousel, train, mini golf, snack bar, splash pad and reptile display (for small fees, such as the wildlife refuge is only $1 for an adult).

Really nice campground. Great for kids. A big playground, Mini train rides, carousel, paddle boats, panning for gems, and lots more. Nice shaded sites, friendly staff, not too far from the interstate. My grandsons’ cub pack camps there every year.
