I am curious, why don't you just bring your trailer on the first day? You are spending 11 hours there, why not set up camp?

    Ken,
I have done that several times but I find it so much easier to find a spot, spend awhile and get comfortable with it.
I take the time to figure out where I want to park the Pup and set up the screen room and potty tent.
In the morning I can finish packing up without any hurry or pressure to get there right away and find a spot.
It eases my mind and reduces any anxiety I might have.

Glamping Grandma, I agree with you. It is rude and unfair to hold a site that you are not using. We drive hours to get to our favorite NF campground. It is first come first serve. If we get there first, we should have the serve.
