DMV Registration 'Body Type' & PTI for PUPs in Calif.

Been away from the site for a bit. My Pup's registration Expires 8/31/20, listed as Body Type: CCH (coach). So I need to get to the DMV to get it inspected soon and show the pink slip (and a brochure showing it is a tent trailer, if the person does not know what that is ;o). Those who have gotten their Pups. reclassified to Body Style CMP, were you able to just show up, or does this process require an appointment.

Looking forward to getting it onto the PTI program and save some fees.

Unfortunately, I never made the time to go to the DMV. I got several 'Final Notices', but still have yet to make the time. Will be interesting to see if they fine the bajebus out of me or accept my story that it has been non op (even thogh I never filed as such all this time. Curious if anyone else has been in the situation before. I believe it would take quite a miracle for a DMV rep to say, Ah, we'll mark you as non Op (with minimal penalty). Very loooong shot I would guess! I think we took the camper out one time, maybe two, in the few years I have had my head in the sand about the DMV. have take

We finally got around to getting our pup changed from body type CCH to CMP. Now it has a new permanent plate (no stickers). I was told by the DMV that the new fee is $10 every 5 years. That is nice.
